A guide dog in Russia who lost her legs and snapped her front paws in half after a two-month rescue operation is now back on the go and in the gym as she continues to improve.
Hundreds of viewers were moved by the heartwarming video of Monika on “Ellen” recently as she walked on her new prosthetic legs.
On “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” Monika said she’d been missing the walkers since she was rescued in December, before she could even walk on them.
“I used to walk all day, but now I don’t have any privileges like that,” Monika said.
DeGeneres could also not stop herself from commenting on the happy occasion.
“It’s so cute when you finally get back home and come out and it’s just not what you expected,” she said.
Monika has become a well-known celebrity, not only in Russia, but across the world.
Many people, including celebrities, often adopt Russian guide dogs, thinking it’s the cheapest way to go.
