Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku called for world football bosses and professional footballers to meet to discuss growing social media issues, according to the New York Times. Lukaku said all the power belonged to the fans, who are not always very helpful when they take to social media about individuals and teams. The 24-year-old said that it is important for players and managers to know how those comments will impact their clubs. If Manchester United has its player comment tweets removed, then all other players can rely on that, the Portuguese striker said. Lukaku has won the Golden Boot the last two seasons for scoring most goals. This season he’ll be the first player of the 21 to go for three. Lukaku is a graduate of Chelsea’s academy.
Paul Pogba’s tattoo
Manchester United fans have been left puzzled by Paul Pogba’s tattoo that reads “why don’t you start, now?” on his upper arm, and it appears to have been taken down by Pogba’s publicist and the internet, but that might not be the end of it, as Manchester United fan suggests.
Joel Freedy, sporting director at Italian club Udinese, confirmed that he had been in touch with Pogba, saying it was “desperate attempts by Paul Pogba to show his financial power”.
United fans have also mocked Pogba’s tattoo by taking to Twitter using the hashtag #WhyDon’tYouStopVideoThis. Pogba’s tattoo disappeared after a few days.
-Police investigating rape accusation against Man United’s Pogba “I would classify it as an allegation of rape…it is an allegation”.
-Pogba’s tattoo is no longer on his upper arm, but is somewhere else. It is not the white-pants or the Adidas jockstrap, the red armband, the No. 2, the shirt number, the black finger, or his name, for that matter.
-Freedy said “it was desperate attempts by Paul Pogba to show his financial power.”
-And finally, his publicist has informed Mr. Freedy the tattoo is back on his arm.
-A United fan saw the evolution of the tattoo. Pogba’s new tattoo says the numbers two, 10, 21, which is understood to be the month and year he signed with the club in 2012.
-It is no longer around his knuckles.
-It disappeared under his arm, so it doesn’t really appear to be anything related to the case.
-In 2005, apparently, he had a tattoo that had yellow spray paint with “21” and “affr” written. Later, that same tattoo was seen on the outside of his hand.
-Udinese sporting director Joel Freedy says “we have been in touch with Pogba.”
-And we got the message.
